MASPALOMAS & GRAN CANARIA
Islas Bonitas is very close to the new Holiday World attraction 
which is a real attraction for children (& adults !) and Maspalomas market is close by
offering a huge array of goods every Wednesday and Saturday. It is just a short walk to the large Maspalomas Park which is beautifully maintained and as well as its picturesque gardens includes a large lake, cafe and open air arena.
Maspalomas, of course, is famous for its dunes and, along the seafront is a promenade (El Faro Boulevard)
with its stylish mix of restaurants, bars and boutiques.
The neighbouring resort of Playa del Ingles is renowned for its sandy beaches and lively nightlife, contrasting with the picturesque and colourful fishing village of Puerto Mogan which is a 25 minute drive away.
Less well known is the striking scenery of the island. From rugged mountains falling steeply into blue seas to the luscious island interor with its beautiful flora and lush greenery. Here, the cool pine forests
are a popular place to picnic and get away from it all
